See our FacebookThe children have been learning about the structure of flowering and non-flowering plants, looking closely at different features such as roots, bark, stems and leaves and learning about their important functions.
We went on a welly walk to help us identify different plants and trees in our environment. The children then had a go at painting their own trees, using what they had observed and produced some lovely artwork as a result.π¨π 5 Likes
Over the past few weeks, the children have been busy designing and making their own feathers, thinking carefully about shape, colour and texture. This week, they used all of these skills to create their very own birds - complete with pipe cleaner feet to help them stand up on their own!
We are so proud of their creativity and effort, and the finished birds look absolutely wonderful. A fantastic combination of science, art and design in action!β¨π¦ 3 Likes
We pretended to eat our lunch like rich passengers would have done when the ship sailed!
Later we enjoyed a workshop helping Brunel build his ship by riveting panels. We then had the honour of helping to launch her! It was a great day!

Theyβve tasted a variety of delicious traditional foods, learned new Chinese songs, and shown so much curiosity about different cultures and celebrations.
One of the highlights has been learning how to write numbers in Mandarin the children were so proud of their beautiful markβmaking.
Itβs been a joyful week full of new experiences, rich conversations, and lots of smiles.
